Engine Test Stand
Back Home Up

If you play around with enough engines, you need an engine test stand. Why? To do the break in, tuning, and validation of the engine before you stuff it into your engine bay. Since pre-made units cost a fair amount of money, I've taken a shot at designing one for myself and am gathering the materials to build it to see if I can do it for less than the commercially available units. I also want to make sure it can fit any of my engines, have a transmission attached (I have some future ideas for being able to test them out, too), and roll easily on uneven and unpaved ground (so I can stow it in my side yard under a tarp, even if it has an engine on it).
